Program Overview
Based on the traditional curriculum taught at Chinese institutions, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program is designed for healthcare professionals looking to expand their knowledge or people who are new to the field.
Students learn about acupuncture, Chinese herbology, Tuina massage, Qi Gong, Tai Ji, diet therapy, the basics of Western medicine, and more. They also gain valuable experience putting what they’ve learned in the classroom to use in a clinical setting.
Admission Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent, or mature student status (19 years old when class starts)
- Proof of English/Chinese proficiency
*Notes:
- Transcripts from an institution outside of Canada must be verified by an international education credential evaluation service, such as WES or ICES.
- Proof of English Language proficiency for applicants to the English language program OR Proof of Chinese Language proficiency for applicants to the Chinese language program

This program has been approved by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) of the Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. The program is offered as an in-person program.
Graduates from this program will be positioned to write the PAN-CAN examinations for acupuncturists in BC. The College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) recognizes this program.
- - Our grads recently achieved a 95.45% pass rate on the PAN-CAN exam in April 2024.*
