Program Overview
Vancouver Career College's Accounting and Payroll Administrator diploma program gives you an advantage in the competitive field of accounting and payroll practitioners.
In the program, you’ll gain a solid understanding of the business accounting cycle and general accounting and payroll fundamentals. The program also covers specific accounting topics, including payroll compliance legislation, the Employment Insurance Act, the Canada Pension Plan, and the Income Tax Act.
You’ll improve your computerized accounting skills on industry-standard accounting software, including popular programs like QuickBooks Pro and Sage 50 Accounting.
All Accounting & Payroll Administrator students also meet the credit requirements in both core and elective courses for the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) Certified Payroll Management Program (CPMP) at the level of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP).
One additional requirement of the CPA’s program is completing the Work Experience Requirement (WERA), and having a passing grade of 65% or higher, including a transfer credit of Introduction to Accounting. For more information about the program, visit www.payroll.ca.

Admission Requirements:
- High school graduation or equivalent*, OR mature student** status.

** 19 years of age upon starting classes and Pass the college's admissions test
